What Is Laser Hair Removal ?

Laser hair removal eliminates unwanted hair. By exposing it to pulses of laser light, this procedure destroys the hairs at the follicles to provide long-lasting results.

How It Works

At Aesthecity , we use the latest in laser hair removal technology to deliver patients throughout ravet, punawale, Hinjewadi with real, long-lasting results.

The vacuum-assist technology works by bringing the targeted hair follicle closer to the treatment head. Through gentle suction, the treatment area is slightly stretched, allowing the laser energy to interact more efficiently with the desired target — melanin, or pigment, in the hair follicle.

The vacuum also pulls the hair follicles closer to the surface of the laser, allowing for deeper penetration and a reduced need for laser energy. This process damages the hairability to regrow, so that your results will last.

Please note that because your hair grows in cycles, multiple treatments will be needed for the most effective treatment. The exact cadence of treatments will vary based on the area being treated, as the hair in the face, for example, will grow at a different speed than the hair of the legs.

We also ask that you follow a few guidelines prior to your laser hair removal treatment, including avoiding the sun and tweezing. For more information on what to do before and after your visit.

The Aesthecity Experience

At Aesthecity we use a “flinch-free” system that is FDA approved for the permanent reduction of unwanted hair. These laser systems are effective for both women and men, and they’re safe for people of varying skin types and tones too. As always, we recommend a consultation with one of our practitioners to determine if our laser is right for your needs.

While laser hair removal can be performed on most parts of the body, the most popular treatment areas include:

  • Arms
  • Legs
  • Bikini area
  • Underarms
  • Stomach
  • Back
  • Neck
  • Face (above the lip, sideburns, chin, and eyebrows)

Anticipated Results

Laser hair removal treatment times are up to 75% faster than other hair removal processes, and the results are longer lasting. Treatment is virtually painless and doesn’t require topical anaesthetic cream, cooling gel or cooling devices. Additionally, there’s no required downtime after your treatment, so you can get back to your daily activities as soon as you’d like!

Because hair grows at different cycles, about thirty percent of follicles come to the surface at a time – so you will need between five and six sessions in total to see the most significant results. Laser hair removal treatments are recommended between four to six weeks apart, depending on the individual, and touch-ups may be needed to maintain results ongoing.

IPL/Photofacial

The results for reducing the look of dark spots and rosacea have never been better, thanks to Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) photo facials. Even if you’ve had them for longer than you’d like to admit, your redness and splotches can fade quickly with the help of this effective treatment.

What Is Intense Pulsed Light ?

Intense Pulsed Light, also known as photo facial, is a non-laser, precision light generator that minimizes skin discolorations associated with accumulated sun damage and age spots on the face and/or chest. Photofacials also help reduce the look of vascular problems, such as rosacea, while leaving the surface of the skin unharmed.

How It Works

Photofacials use intense pulsed light to target the pigment and redness in the lesion. This helps reduce unwanted discoloration and flushing, better and faster than other solutions.

The Aesthecity  Experience

The skin care experts at aesthecity can help you achieve the best results from your IPL photofacial, so that your skin will look younger and tighter and after treatment. We have the “Ferrari” of all IPL machines: Lumenis One™. With its multiple world-class technologies, it is the most technologically advanced platform ever developed for antiaging aesthetics.

Note, however, that an IPL photofacial may not be right for all skin types or for those with melasma.

 Anticipated Results

The appearance of hyperpigmentation and redness are dramatically reduced with photofacial treatments. Most patients will start to notice a difference as soon as one treatment, with optimal results showing between three to five IPL treatments.

Carbon Laser Peel

The carbon laser peel, in particular, is often dubbed the ‘dark crystal peel’ or ‘Red carpet peel’ because of celebrity interest. In Asia, talk of laser technology results has spread rapidly with the creation of two catchy nicknames, including ‘china doll peel’ and ‘porcelain peel’. No matter what it’s called, the results are the same – refreshed, exfoliated skin that is softened, smoothed, and firmed in just 20 minutes.

How Does Carbon Laser Peel Work?

Unlike other laser treatments that rely exclusively on light energy to transform skin, the carbon laser peel is a 2-part process. First, a luxurious natural carbon cream is applied to the surface of the skin and allowed to dry. The non-toxic lotion looks something like a mud mask with a dark grey-brown coloring and rich texture. Natural carbon quickly absorbs oil, impurities, and dead skin cells from deep within pores and pulls toxins to the surface. The carbon mask also creates an even Plato for the laser energy. After the carbon mask is applied, it’s time for the Q-Switched laser.

A good Q-Switched laser such as the ALMA-Q is the essential device required for this treatment. It is an ND: Yag laser which has wavelength of 1064nm**. This wavelength has a high absorption level in melanin and other dark pigment. Hence, the laser energy will be absorbed mostly in the carbon mask and create the glowing effect we’re looking for.

Watch this video below by New Beauty magazine courtesy of Dr. Macrene Alexiades , showing how the ALMA-Q laser carbon peel treatment is performed.

What Does Laser Carbon Peel Do To Your Skin?

Initially, the operator will bind the carbon to the epidermis. We recommend using a low energy pass of the laser. Secondly, the operator will use a higher energy level to peel the carbon mask. Unlike other laser techniques, the focused laser beam is applied from a distance above the skin. A special smoke evaporator is used so there’s no risk of shared bacteria. It also helps the technician by enabling optimal visibility for targeted results. The laser heats up, but does not destroy, sub-dermal tissue. This mode of action kick-starts natural healing processes to boost collagen production for lasting firmness. Secondary treatment benefits include plumping fine lines and tightening sagging skin – win, win!

At the surface, the laser energy destroys carbon particles in the mud mask and eliminates the absorbed oil, dead skin, and toxins along with it. This immediately refreshes and exfoliates the skin by deep cleaning pores and shrinking size in the process. Without the weight of dull, dead skin cells, users can walk away with more radiant skin that is even and soft to the touch.

Who Can Benefit From A Carbon Laser Peel Treatment?

The carbon laser peel treatment is especially effective for anyone with oily skin who suffers from continual acne, blackheads, enlarged pores, or dull and uneven skin tone. Targeted laser energy gently heats the skin and kills acne-causing bacteria in the process. This is achieved without the need for any harsh chemicals or aggravating ingredients. This laser process also shrinks sebaceous glands to reduce oil production and help balance chronically oily skin.

Gentle exfoliation and toxin-pulling benefits are essential for everyone and this laser peel is safe for all skin types. The 20-minute treatment is nicknamed a ‘lunchtime facial’. That is because you can walk out with a radiant glow and experience little to no side-effects or downtime. Immediately tighten, soften, and brighten your skin. Natural carbon cleanses pores and cutting-edge laser technology blasts the excess oil, dead skin, and contaminates away.

The carbon laser peel is most often used to address acne and excess oil as a facial, but it can be performed anywhere. If you have acne on your face, chest, back, or shoulders, try it out. This painless, 20-minute procedure delivers immediate benefits with lasting results. Ask for the ‘carbon laser peel,’ ‘china doll peel,’ or ‘porcelain peel’ and you’ll discover what the carbon laser peel can do to transform your skin.

Tattoo Removal

How to remove a tattoo successfully with medical lasers Trying to figure out how to remove a tattoo? Unwanted dark and multi-colored tattoos can be safely and effectively eliminated with Aesthecity’s variety of tattoo removal treatments. These are clinically proven laser treatments which use a various laser wavelengths that target different ink colors. High-intensity light beams create a photo acoustic shock wave that breaks up the ink particles in the tattoo. The result after a number of sessions reveals clear, ink-free skin with minimal risk of scarring or hypo-pigmentation.

Successful multi-color tattoo removal requires a high powered laser that can deliver enough energy within the absorption spectrum of a wide range of colors. The high power Q-Switched Nd:YAG 1064nm laser is ideal for treating darker ink colors (black, blue and green), while the 532nm wavelength is effective for brighter ink colors (red, orange and yellow). The treatment mechanically breaks down ink particles without causing thermal damage. In time, the body’s lymphatic system disposes of the ink fragments. This natural healing process causes the tattoo to fade with minimal risk of scarring or discoloration.

Tattoo Removal Before And After Photos

Have a tattoo removal success story of your own? using one of our laser tattoo removal devices? send us the photos and the treatment details to our mailbox and we’ll happily publish it too. It normally can take between 4-8 laser treatments for a successful removal of a tattoo. The exact number greatly depends on the age of the tattoo, the patient’s pain tolerance and skin type and genetic factors. Therefor we encourage you to send photos that were taken after each session and not only at the beginning and end of the treatment process. Some patients choose to only remove the tattoo partially, as they want to cover it with a new tattoo so less treatment sessions are required in this case
